Simple Forwarding

All email sent to your domain, irrespective of the sent-to address, gets delivered to your existing email address.
Example: (assuming yourdomain.co.uk is your domain and yourname@home.freeserve.co.uk is your existing email address)

Custom Forwarding

Each incoming email address can be assigned a separate (or shared) forwarded email address. Available in 10, 50 or 250 incoming address configurations. You also get a Catch-All -nobody- address which collects any email not specifically assigned a destination address and forwards on -
Example: (assuming yourdomain.co.uk is your domain and a variety of other existing email addresses)
